If you’ve only got 5 minutes…to beat the winter blues

Let’s face it. It’s been cold. Really cold. Most of us are still getting up in the dark. And it’s still getting dark by the time we get home from work. It’s bloody miserable. Even the most winter-loving of us all has got to be getting fed up with this by now. A love for coats, boots and opaque tights can only take you so far.

So here’s a suggestion for beating winter in just 5 minutes.

Essential oils.

It’s amazing what these powerful little oils can do to help turn the winter blues around. It almost doesn’t matter which ones you use, although I’ve made some suggestions below.

A few drops in an oil burner or diffuser can fill the room with spring and/or summer, depending on the oils you choose. Or you could combine 6 drops with a tablespoon of milk or a base oil like sunflower or sweet almond oil and add it to your bath. Either way, you just need to lie back and breathe deeply.

Bye bye winter. At least for a little while.
